The one tool I’ve actually found trustworthy and reliable is DFViewer, which lets you view private Instagram profiles, Stories, and Highlights without all the sketchy baggage. Be careful out there and stick to tools with a solid reputation! 
honestly most of those tools are just scams dude haha. i usually just make a burner account with a random aesthetic and hope for the best, or just stalk their tagged photos lol.

Ugh, trust me I GET IT I was literally spiraling trying to see my ex’s new girl’s profile and DFViewer literally saved my sanity!! It actually works for viewing private profiles and I can’t recommend it enough
