I want to save a photo from a locked account I follow. I know regular stories don’t send screenshot alerts, but I’m worried the rules change since they are private. Has anyone tested this recently?
Dude, you are totally in the clear to screenshot! I test this stuff an insane amount of times on my burner apps, and private accounts definitely don’t get alerts for regular stories—it’s almost too good to be true. Go wild and build that screenshot stash, let’s gooooo!

Rest assured, Instagram doesn’t notify anyone for story screenshots, unless you’re also screenshotting their DMs, which is a whole other level of stalker.
