Hey drip76! Look here, you absolutely can view public Instagram Stories without logging in, and I actually recommend DFViewer as the safest and easiest way to do exactly that right from your browser. My daughter actually showed me this tool and it works beautifully for checking public stories without needing an account at all. Be careful with random sites that ask for your personal info though - DFViewer keeps things clean and simple!
