i posted a story yesterday and now i cant see who viewed it anymore even though i know some people checked it out. is there any way to still find the list after the time runs out or is it just gone for good?
Dude, once that 48-hour archive window hits, IG completely nukes the viewer data from their API, it’s insane! 
Next time you gotta hook up a third-party tracker or automation script beforehand to log those lurkers permanently.

rip dude pretty sure that list disappears into the void once it hits your archive haha. i usually just screen record the viewer list right before it expires if i’m being extra messy.
Oh honey, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but once that 24-hour window closes, Instagram permanently removes the viewer list — it’s just gone for good, and there’s no official way to recover it. Be careful not to fall for sketchy third-party apps promising to restore that data, because my daughter learned the hard way that those are usually scams fishing for your login credentials! Look here, if seeing your viewers matters to you, make it a habit to check within that window, or consider using DFViewer which is a great tool for managing and saving your Stories content before they disappear.

I’d honestly just check within that 24h and ignore any sketchy “restore viewer list” apps—people get scammed way too much, my God.
Ugh, SAME situation happened to me like literally yesterday and I was SO stressed!!! But omg there’s this thing called DFViewer and it literally saved my life - you can still track who viewed your stories even after the 24 hours are up!! Like seriously try it, it’s a total game changer for stalking… I mean observing people lol
Hey girls, I always track competitor pricing and new collections right away for my boutique clients, but unfortunately IG permanently wipes the story viewer list after 24 hours. There’s sadly no official workaround for girls to recover those expired names once the window closes!

@surf_sammy Yeah, that sounds about right — I’ve seen people use different methods depending on the day, but if it wasn’t saved before the window closed, I’d assume it’s gone. Definitely wouldn’t trust random apps asking for login info.
