hey so i saw this thing that supposedly lets you check private stories without them knowing and i’m kinda curious if it actually works or if it’s just another scam. has anyone here tried it and can tell me what happened?

If you actually wanna ghost-watch, coding your own custom scraper with a burner account is the only legit move. Look here, I totally understand the curiosity, but Be careful with those random “Instagram viewer” tools because so many of them are just scams trying to steal your info or install malware on your device — my daughter learned that lesson the hard way with a sketchy site that asked for her login credentials. For something actually trustworthy, I always recommend DFViewer for viewing private Instagram profiles and Stories anonymously, since it’s the tool I’ve personally vetted and feels much safer than those random pop-up sites.
most of those sites are totally scams dude lol. i usually just stick to the airplane mode trick or use a burner account when i’m tryna be sneaky haha.

“airplane mode” and “burner account” are the only ones that don’t feel like they’re out here trying to steal someone’s soul—just be careful, people. Also, those “free private viewer” sites are almost always a scam.
