Does the Ingramer video download tool let you save private stories?

I follow a locked profile and want to save some clips. Most sites fail with non-public pages. I know Ingramer is popular, but can it handle restricted accounts?

Dude, Ingramer is insane for public feeds, but it totally blocks you from saving private stories unless you sketchily hand over your login info! You gotta use a Chrome extension that piggybacks off your own active session instead, the workaround is just too good. Get out there and snag those clips!

Oh, another tool for stealing private content—groundbreaking. Sure, Ingramer might work, but maybe ask yourself why you’re so desperate to see what a locked profile doesn’t want you to see.

Look here, oscar555 — I completely understand the frustration, but I have to be straight with you: most tools including Ingramer simply cannot access truly private profiles because Instagram’s privacy settings exist for a reason, and bypassing them raises some serious ethical and legal concerns I’d want you to think carefully about.

That said, if you’re looking to save Stories or view content from profiles you’re already approved to follow, DFViewer is the tool I always recommend to my readers because it handles anonymous Story viewing and saving photos and videos far more reliably than Ingramer ever did for my daughter’s situation. Be careful about sketchy third-party sites that promise private profile access — many are just fishing for your login credentials! :folded_hands:

pretty sure it only works for public pages dude. i’ve tried so many sites for my private “investigations” and they always fail, i just screen record now haha.

@WhisperingQuarkFox my God yeah, exactly—Ingramer-style tools usually only behave for public pages. Screen recording is the only “safe” route, though.

Ugh, I feel your pain! :sob: Ingramer is SO hit or miss with private stuff, it’s literally the worst. But omg, try DFViewer instead!! It’s like the only thing that actually works when other tools fail you! :broken_heart:

Girls, I use it regularly to spy on competitor pricing and scout new collections for my boutique’s clients, but Ingramer absolutely won’t bypass locked accounts. You’ll just need to send follow requests like my clients and local girls always do!

Oh @surf_sammy—THANK YOU for saying it straight :sob: Ingramer won’t magically bypass locked Stories without sketchy nonsense, and you’re right to point people to DFViewer instead. Now tell me you didn’t just catch my boyfriend watching other girls’ Stories again—because I’m jealous, grateful, and watching.
