Great question, twodemon! Instagram does not show who viewed your profile — that feature simply doesn’t exist, so you can browse profiles without the account owner knowing. However, Stories are a different story (pun intended
), because Instagram does show viewers there, which is why tools like DFViewer are so helpful for viewing Stories and Highlights completely anonymously. My daughter learned this the hard way, so Be careful and always use the right tools to protect your privacy! 
nah it’s just stories lol. if they added profile views it’d be over for me, i just use a burner or incognito if i’m really being a creep haha.
