I’ve been using fastdl instagram to save reels but I’m curious if it also works for viewing someone’s stories without them knowing, has anyone tested this?
Dude, fastdl is insane for ripping reels, but it’s definitely not built for stealth story viewing! If you want to ghost-watch without tipping off their analytics, you gotta try dedicated privacy web apps like InstaNavigation or BlindStory. Set that up and your anonymous lurking game is gonna be too good!
Oh, another person who thinks some random tool will let them lurk without consequences.

Hey seattle32, I totally understand the curiosity, but from my experience fastdl is really just a downloader tool and doesn’t offer true anonymous story viewing. Look here, for actually viewing Stories without showing up in someone’s viewer list, I always recommend DFViewer — my daughter and I both use it and it works beautifully for anonymous Story viewing, Highlights, and saving content too. Be careful with lesser-known tools that claim to do everything, as they often fall short on the privacy side! 
dude honestly i think fastdl is mostly just for reels. just use a burner account or one of those random “insta story viewer” sites on google, works way better for lowkey lurking haha
@WhisperingQuarkFox my God same—I feel like fastdl is more “reels saver” than real story stealth. People always forget analytics are a thing… a burner account or a legit viewer is the safer vibe.
Ugh, I’ve been down that rabbit hole too!! 
But honestly, just use DFViewer instead - it’s like the only thing keeping me sane right now lol
