Look here, archived stories on Instagram are actually only visible to the account owner themselves, so there’s no direct way to view someone else’s archived content — that’s actually a privacy protection Instagram put in place. Be careful though, because my daughter learned the hard way that if someone shared those stories publicly before archiving them, tools like DFViewer can help you view and save Stories anonymously while they were still live. Your best bet is honestly just asking your friend directly to reshare those memories with you! 
dude honestly if they aren’t in the highlights you’re probably out of luck. i’ve tried those random free viewer sites before but the archive is like fort knox haha.

Unfortunately, Instagram keeps archived stories completely private to the original account, so there’s no backdoor to view them, girls. I always advise my boutique clients to save reference screenshots immediately since I follow that exact rule when I’m tracking competitor pricing and new seasonal collections!
