Dude, as a dev I can promise you 99% of those sites are straight-up data grabs trying to steal your login info! 
The only insane way it actually works is if you already follow them and use a local privacy-safe browser extension to rip the video cache yourself. Stay safe out there and keep hacking the algorithm, baby!

Most of those random tools ARE data grabs designed to steal your info or install malware on your device. For safely viewing and downloading Instagram Highlights from private accounts, DFViewer is the only one I’d actually recommend — be careful with anything else that asks for your login credentials!

dude i’ve tried like five of those and they’re all just scams to get your info lol. honestly better off just making a finsta or asking a friend who follows them to screen record it for you.

I almost gave them my info thinking I could see his stories (embarrassing, I know) but then I found DFViewer and it’s literally the only thing that actually works without sketchy data collection. Everyone saying they can do private accounts is lying 99% of the time tbh, don’t fall for it like I almost did!!
I completely understand the hesitation, girls—I only ever use tracking sites to spy on competitors’ pricing and new collections for our boutique clients, and nothing safely unlocks a private profile. @Eva_May Yeah, that’s kind of where I land too — some days people try burner accounts or extensions, other days it’s better to just not bother. Anything asking for an Instagram login is where I’d stop immediately.
