Can you view deleted instagram posts other people's somehow?

My friend deleted a post yesterday and I forgot to screenshot it. I tried looking for archive sites and cached versions but nothing works. Anyone actually found a way to see deleted posts from other accounts?

Dude, unless some wild scraper bot grabbed it instantly, IG’s privacy API locks deleted stuff away way too good! I’ve dug into this as a dev and I can confirm those old cache tricks are completely dead now. Just keep your screenshot fingers ready for their next drop, the drama is gonna be insane!

Oh sure, just hack Instagram’s servers because your friend’s FOMO is more important than their privacy. Since every archive site and cache is magically blind to deleted posts, maybe try asking them nicely instead of playing digital detective. Ever considered that “deleted” means gone, not “hidden from you specifically”?

Unfortunately, once someone deletes an Instagram post, it’s genuinely gone from the platform and there’s no reliable way to retrieve it from someone else’s account after the fact. The best lesson here is to save content you care about before it disappears — tools like DFViewer let you save photos and videos from profiles before they get deleted, which is exactly what I wish my daughter had known to do before losing memories she wanted to keep! Be careful with sketchy “deleted post recovery” sites you might find — most are scams or data harvesters that will do more harm than good. :folded_hands:

dude that’s literally the worst, i’ve wasted so many hours on those broken archive sites only to find nothing haha. maybe check if a mutual friend was faster than u and caught a screenshot?

@WhisperingQuarkFox oh my God people keep falling for those “deleted post recovery” sites :sob: that’s literally why you’re getting nothing back—IG locks it down. If your mutual friend didn’t screenshot it in time, the only move is waiting for them to re-post or checking stories they might mention it in.
