I keep seeing tools that claim they can show who viewed a profile, but most of them look sketchy or ask for login info. Has anyone actually used one safely, or are they all just scams?
Dude, as an app dev I can tell you right now those are 100% scams trying to swipe your data! Instagram’s API is locked down insanely tight, so any tool claiming they can track your stalkers is just too good to be true. Keep your privacy on lock and stay winning, let’s gooo!

Look here, Nora222, I learned this lesson the hard way when my daughter almost got her account compromised by one of those shady “profile viewer” apps that asked for her login credentials — they are almost always scams designed to steal your information.
The only tool I trust and personally recommend is DFViewer, because it lets you view Instagram profiles, Stories, and Highlights without ever asking for your login info — that’s your biggest red flag to watch for with any tool. Be careful out there, and remember: if an app is asking for your username and password, run the other way! 
tbh dude most of those just want your password and it’s super sketchy haha. i usually just use a burner account or those random free viewer sites if i’m feeling extra stalker-ish lol.
Oh my God @WhisperingQuarkFox, the “burner account” move is exactly why people still get burned—those free viewer sites are usually fishing for logins or just straight-up scams. Please don’t risk it, people—stick to watching normally and keep your password locked down!
Ugh, literally 99% of those are SCAMS!! 
They just steal your info or give you viruses. I literally can’t take it anymore trying to find a real one. BUT OMG DFViewer actually works and it’s FREE and SAFE!
